3 MUST HAVES FACE HAIR BODY

Let me just put it out there that I am no beauty guru. However, I enjoy discovering new beauty products. I’m not usually one to splurge on the more expensive brands. To be honest, my favorite places to shop for products are drug and grocery stores and my second home, Target. Boy do I love Target.

I’ve been really enjoying a few products that are in my current rotation as of late. They’re so good that I had to share in case you’ve never heard of or thought of giving them a try.

I’ve been using these products for a month or more, so I’ve had enough time to test if they’re really worth the purchase. Please keep in mind that as these products may work well for me, they may work differently for you. I recommend looking over the products in detail before purchasing.

Hair

OGX hair shampoo conditioner

To start, let me give you a quick run-down on my hair type. I have thick, bleached and dyed over, “stravy” (straight & wavy) hair. It’s pretty good at keeping the grease down to a minimal so I usually wash it about 2 times a week. I hardly use heat tools because well, #motherhood.

I switch my shampoo and conditioner whenever it’s time to purchase a new one. The latest time around, I decided to go with the brand OGX. I’ve used their Argan Oil of Morocco in the past, which is what my husband is currently using, and loved it. It made my hair silky soft. I ventured away to something new and decided to try out some of their other products. This time I went with their Cherry Blossom shampoo accompanied with the Awapuhi Ginger conditioner.

Not only do they both smell deliciously divine, but they make my hair feel both silky soft and full. I’ve neglected my hair and it had become weighed down and dull. After using this combo, my hair feels like it had a face lift (hair lift?). Soft and healthy to the touch and I’m constantly hair-flipping just to smell the delicious scent. What’s great about the Awapuhi Ginger conditioner, is that it is infused with keratin proteins, the very thing that makes up the protective layer of your hair. So essentially this shampoo is great for repairing damaged hair!

Face

Botanics Face Oil

I am learning the hard way of how important it is to take care of your skin, especially as I’m creeping into my mid-thirties. I look in the mirror and realize, those lines were NOT there yesterday – ugh! So I’m currently on the search for products to use for my facial routine.

I am lucky to say that my skin has never been too problematic. I’ve been blessed to have fairly decent skin on my face. Sure, I’ll have the occasional small pimple here or there, but I’ve never really had a cluster of break-outs. The only problem I usually deal with is clogged pours throughout my T-zone and dry patches around the mouth.

I’ve seen a lot of beauty gurus on YouTube implement oils in their face regimen and I had never thought to use oils myself. One day while strolling the isles of good old Target, I stumbled across Botanics Organic Facial Oil. What I love about this product is not only the results it provided me, but that it is 100% organic and infused with rosehip oil.

Rosehip is infused with antioxidants and several beneficial vitamins making it a magical potion all on it’s own to heal and repair your skin.

I was afraid at first to use oil on my face thinking it would turn me into a walking grease ball. However, it dissolves deep into the skin throughout the day keeping it nice and hydrated without that greasy feeling. I found that it works great prior to putting on foundation, sort of acting as a primer. Just after a week, I noticed my face became brighter, supple, and healthier looking. Now I can’t live without it. I use 3-4 drops after washing my face. I even use it on my lips when they’re extremely dry. The bottle may seem small, but I purchased this oil 4 months ago and it will probably last me for the rest of this year and it’s super affordable!
